Extreme Sports Ltd, a leading organization in football development, has announced a groundbreaking Youth Empowerment Program aimed at fostering holistic development among the youth. This initiative, unveiled by CEO Hussein Mohammed, marks a significant milestone as the company celebrates 20 years of dedicated grassroots football development.

The collaborative effort between Extreme Sports Ltd and Kitui County grassroots football clubs focuses on three key thematic areas:

  1. Capacity Building on Commercialization of Football: The program aims to educate young athletes on the economic potential of football in their communities, empowering them to explore opportunities for commercialization within the sport.
  2. Fight Against Substance Abuse and Doping: Recognizing the importance of maintaining clean and healthy lifestyles, the initiative includes initiatives to combat substance abuse and doping among young athletes, ensuring their well-being and integrity.
  3. Financial Literacy Programs for Athletes: Extreme Sports Ltd is committed to equipping athletes with essential financial literacy skills, empowering them to make informed decisions about their finances and secure their future beyond their sporting careers.

Speaking at the launch, Hussein Mohammed emphasized the significance of this endeavor in not only promoting athletic excellence but also prioritizing the holistic development and resilience of the youth in the community. The pilot project of this initiative is set to commence in Kitui on March 30, 2024, with plans for expansion to other regions in the pipeline. During the event, Mr. Hussein Mohammed presented the stakeholders with a sponsorship cheque amounting to Ksh. 200,000, further demonstrating Extreme Sports Ltd’s unwavering support for initiatives that empower the youth through sports.
