During its meeting on Saturday morning, the Football Kenya Federation’s (FKF) National Executive Committee unanimously approved a number of significant decisions that would influence Kenyan football in 2024.

Significantly, the NEC resolved that the FKF Electoral Code (2020), which was utilized in the last FKF elections, will be used for the upcoming FKF elections in 2024, which are set to take place later in the year. According to the FKF statement, the goal of this is to make the electoral process transparent and consistent.

Additionally, the NEC decided that the FKF Electoral Board and Electoral Code (2020) would be ratified at the Annual General Meeting, which will take place in Nairobi on March 16, 2024.

The calendar approval for all national teams, including the women’s teams, junior teams, and senior Harambee Stars, was one of the important resolutions. With the help of this extensive schedule, important tournaments can be better planned and prepared for.

The FKF’s competition calendar for 2024, which includes all of the Federation’s leagues and competitions, was also approved by the NEC. This will give clubs clarity and enable them to efficiently organize their seasons.

The FKF’s 2024 budget was also considered and approved by the members. The budget will set aside funds to support the FKF’s primary goals of building grassroots initiatives, elite player development, football infrastructure, refereeing, and competitions.

The Federation is dedicated to both the development of football in Kenya and responsible government. All parties involved will be able to enjoy a more fruitful 2024 thanks to these resolutions.
