Kenya Charged Up Ahead of CECAFA U18 Championship

The Junior Stars, the national squad for players under the age of 18, have ramped up their training in preparation for the Cecafa U-18 Boys Championship, which is set to start this coming weekend.

The competition will take place in Kisumu and Kakamega from November 25th to December 9th, 2023. It will last for a pair of weeks. Kenya has been assigned to Group ‘A’, which also includes Djibouti, Somalia, Rwanda, and Sudan.

Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Sudan, and Uganda are the other countries that make up Group ‘B’. Kisumu will serve as the host city for all of the Group ‘A’ fixtures, while Kakamega will play home to the Group ‘B’ teams.

In the next round, which will be the semi-finals, which will take place on December 5 in Kisumu, the winners of each group will play against the runners-up. 

On opening day, at three o’clock in the afternoon, Kenya will begin their campaign campaign against Sudan in Kisumu.
